Had reason to stay in the Mercer recently with friends. Being from the Dublin area I was aware of the larger hotels in the St. Stephens Green area but had not heard of the Mercer. This hotel proved to be a little gem. I cannot stress the enough the quality of the location. It is 1min walk from Grafton Street in the most exclusive area of central Dublin.
No need for taxis or buses.
As the friends I was staying with were from the UK I was naturally concerned that they had booked a hotel that I had not heard of. My stay made me proud to be Irish as I am always concerned by those who stay in the Temple Bar area with it's drunken stag parties which give a false view of the city.
The rooms were large and warm and tastefully decorated. Being on a side street there was no traffic noise. The hotel is located at the rear of one of the largest shopping malls in Dublin and my friends had secure carparking in the multi storey carpark with walkway through to the hotel.
My only concern in relation to the Mercer is that being from the Dublin area that I will rarely have an excuse to stay there. |

This is a nice, quiet hotel with a great location - a few blocks to Grafton St and St Stephen's Green and a few minutes to Trinity College. We stayed here on two separate nights - the first room was a little "tired" but our second room was great. Given the reasonable rate (by Dublin standards), this is an excellent choice for a stay in Dublin. |

We stayed at the Mercer Hotel for 3 nights in early June. It was a fine hotel with good service. The rooms were well maintained tho the bathroom had a slight hint of mildew. There was a comfortable sitting area downstairs where one could have a pint and read the paper by the fireplace. The location was good, but a block or two away from the real center of the city. The staff was very helpful in arranging for transportation, tours and suggesting restaurants. I would stay here again as the prices were very reasonable. |

Recently I stayed on a business visit to the Mercer hotel Dublin. The staff were most efficient and helpful while the food and beverages were of the highest standard both in preparation and presentation. I would highly recommend this Hotel for anyone looking to stay in Dublins city centre. It's location is ideal as it is in the heart of the city centre yet it is unique in that it's in a tranquil, peaceful and quiet area! |

This hotel was super nice!! I was greeted by freindly staff and a warm lobby. The room was fairly large, warm, and very clean decorated traditionally. The bathroom was very nice looking with black and white tile and very clean as well. Location is perfect as it is only a 2 minute walk from Graffton street, St. Stevens Green and other main Dublin attractions, however set away on a quite side street. I will most certainly return!!!! |

The Mercer Hotel is located on Lower Mercer St., Dublin 2.
I was here for two nights in Feb 2004. Although there is nothing special about Mercer St., the hotel is just around the corner from Grafton St.
The room was a good size and the staff was friendly and efficient. I would stay here again. |

I stayed for a 'theatre break' here. The location couldn't be better. It's right in the centre of Dublin, around the corner from Grafton Street and 2 mins walk from the Gaiety Theatre. The staff are very helpful, and despite comments from another guest, the parking was free. Maybe they parked in the wrong car-park - there are two next to each other! |

I made it my business to come in here to gtahotels and compliment the Mercer Hotel for the most pleasant weekend my wife and I have just experienced. We were treated like royalty for the weekend and the food, hospitality, bedrooms etc. were nothing less than perfection!!! |
