Good deal for central Cardiff
The Lodge is a modern, simple hotel, not extravagant. The hotel is spotted in a light industrial area with 15 min walk to the city center. It is also a similar distance to the Bay area, which is a great place to visit.
Our rooms were a good size and both clean and comfortable. The room was on the second floor and was exceptionally quiet. The shower was good and the bed comfy.
The breakfast was ok, and service very basic.
Overall, it was a good deal for a basic modern hotel in a central Cardiff location.

Adequate accommodation in a nice location
I enjoyed my stay at Mercury The Lodge, but I'd frankly say that I was not much impressed. I found the exterior design of the hotel with no character, however decorated in a modern style, and room was spacious and clean, nicely designed. Mercury The Lodge is located close to the down town, however still requires a transporation, unless preffered to walk. Overall, I'd say, average 3 star with a nice location.

Nice Hotel in all sense
This was my second stay at The Lodge Hotel, Cardiff. And as I realized the quality of service is very much consistent. I've been greeted by a very courteous reception and given a very comfortable room, that was very spacious and clean. Ac was fully contollable and bathroom was large and shower had a sufficient water pressure. On the top that all that, the location is very convenient - The Lodge is spoted within minutes of the centre of Cardiff and the cosmopolitan waterfront. Just 5 minutes taxi ride from Cardiff Central train and bus station, and 30 minutes drive from Cardiff International Airport. Overall, I was pleased with my stay at Mercury The Lodge hotel not for the first time and would definitely come back here again.

Way above average
I've spent 2 nights at The Lodge, Cardiff and I found it way above the average. The hotel itself is nice and clean as well as room. The room was stunningly good sized, bathroom with superb shower was spotless, plazma TV was a good attribute of the room, plenty of tea and coffee.
I was very much impressed with the attentative staff and friendly. I'd say that Mercury The Lodge was way above average.
