The Metropole Brussels Hotel is a grand property dating back to 1895. While this must have been a truly magnificent hotel in its golden years, some areas of the hotel these days are in need of some tender loving care...
The hotel has a great location and is within walking distance of the Grand Place which is the main square of Brussels and is surrounded by guildhalls, the Town Hall and the Breadhouse
LOCATION
There nearest metro De Brouckere metro station is a atones throw away from the hotel.

Great stay!
Stayed at the Hotel Metropole for 4 nights over New Year 2011/2012. Staff were very welcoming and accommodation very good. Facilities include good restuarant, cafe and bar. Situated in a central location for all amenities. Would recommend this hotel to travellers to Brussels.

authentic Metropole
The Metropole is a monumental and authentic looking chic hotel with a nice breakfast room. For a five star hotel, the rooms are small but attractively decorated. The service is reasonable. Unfortunately, this great hotel ideal for guests with a wolallergie because the hotel only offers woolen blankets.

first visit to metropole
This is a hotel worth visiting. The room was very spacious with a high ceiling. Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and attentive. Decor of this hotel is elegant. Complimentary mini bar serving soft drinks and beer was very welcome ! This hotel merits 5 star! Go visit the arcadi cafe rue d,arenburg Excelllent home made food at good prices. Friendly staff! Try the onion tart and tarte tatin!

Charming hotel
Metropole Brussels Hotel is the ideal base to start exploring Brussels with "de grote Markt" and Grand Palace, shopping, attractions, and nightlife just a stroll away. The hotel restaurant has a tantalising cuisine which appeal not only to the stomach but also to the eye. The rooms are elegantly decorated. In the rooms you will enjoy a blend of historican atmosphere and modern facilities. Metropole Brussels Hotel is the best choice to dtay in Brussels. I love it!

exceptional experience
The Metropole is exceptionally well placed and very grand place to stay for 5 nights while visiting Brussels for the first time. The lobby, cafe and lounge are absolutely breathtaking, they've retained as many original features as possible and appeared to be attempting to restore the ceiling in the lounge.
Staff at reception was professional and polite (but not overly friendly), the doorman greeted us with a smile as did the concierge. We didn't see much of the housekeeping staff but they were always friendly and greeted us when we passed in the corridor.
The room we’ve been give was lovely – spacious, bright, with plenty of storage. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with a bath you could swim in, double sinks and a separate toilet off the main bathroom. Good towels, toiletries etc etc. The dinner prices are sky-high but definitely worth it.
I would strongly recommend Metropole Brussels and would certainly go back there again.

great experience
this is a great and very beautifull hotel, the furniture in the room should have a update, immaculate service. The breakfast buffet was 5-star+, not charged for valet parking.

We stayed for a long weekend- a weekend away from our teenagers. We had a really nice room- I guess reading other reviews, it would have been a deluxe room. Fantastic bathroom and shower. View to Place de Brouckere, good local places for eating across the road and the terrace as other gtahotelss have suggested, is fantastic for watching the world go by.
A short walk away to the Grand Place. We enjoyed our stay here and to treat ourselves again, we intend to return later in 2004.

Definitely the best hotel in Brussels, close to all interesting places as the Grand Place, wonderful cafe, hall and lounge. Rooms are cosy.
Great terrace in front of the hotel and very friendly staff.

Nice hotel, centrally located with nice rooms and excellent restaurant.
Great historic touch in the lobby and reception. Delux rooms are rather big with nice size bathroom. Brkf is good but not spectacular. Cinema is across the road, as well as some nice local restaurants. Stayed during the week end for 115 double room. Definitely would come back.

this time we stayed in a junior suite. excellent spacious room !
spacious bathroom. every day and afternoon cleaning of the room.......friendly staff. actually we did expect to have a junior suite on the front with view to place de brouckere, but it was view on courtyard. but, the room was very light, sitting area, nice bathroom......breakfast service in the room is very good in time, enough bread and pastries....unfortunately we could not afford a junior suite everytime but the other deluxe rooms or medium rooms are also very nice....this will stay our favorite in brussels.when you are here, do not miss to sit on the terrace and watch brussels walk by on you...have fun..
