Better than the appearance
The only tall hotel in Interlaken has a rather austere appearance and would benefit from some imaginative external designs to cover the mass of faceless concrete. However, the service and quality of rooms is very good. Friendly and efficient - for example, I reported that I could not get Teletext on my TV. Within 15 minutes, this was checked and the TV replaced. Service in the restaurants was professional. All enquiries at the deak were dealt with efficiently - along with good advice on local tourist information (even though the Tourist office itself is next door).
Views from the balcony are quite superb, especially from the higher floors - apart from the very drab appearance of the interior of balcony itself. The bare concrete needs tiling - or replacing with glass.
