The Meurice Hotel is ideally located at the heart of the city's historic sites and luxury shopping areas. The Tuileries Garden, directly across from the hotel, offers a unique environment for jogging or quiet walks.

The nearby Palais Royal, with its park and shops, is both a historic landmark and perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. Also within walking distance are the world-renowned art collections of the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay, and the Comedie Francaise and Palais Garnier Opera House for theater and music.

Shoppers will be delighted with the brilliance and variety offered on the adjacent Rue Royale, Rue de la Paix, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore, and Place Vendome.

LOCATION

Meurice Hotel is located in the city centre, between Place Vendome, Place de la Concorde and a few steps from the Foubourg St. Honore, facing the Tuileries Garden, nearby the Opera and the finest shops.

* Le Jardin d’Hiver:
Breakfast, afternoon tea, and light meals are served under the art nouveau-style glass roof of this winter garden tearoom. Decorated with 19th-century furnishings, palms, and exotic flowers, it overlooks the lobby, with live music in the evenings.

* Restaurant Le Meurice:
This restaurant recreates the lustrous effects of Louix XVI-style detailing with ornate gilding, antique beveled mirrors and a ceiling fresco depicting a blue sky with angels. Fine French cuisine is served on custom-made china matching the mosaic patterns on the tile floor.

* Bar Fontainebleau:
Deep leather Chesterfield-style chairs, dark woods, and restored paintings depicting the Château de Fontainebleau give this bar a rich, clubby feel. Dom Perignon is served by the glass, along with a large selection of cocktails, rare liqueurs, fine wines, and light snacks. The bar is open until 2 AM.

* The seven-floor Meurice Hotel has an opulent restaurant, bar, fitness center and health spa with expert masseuses, 24-hour room service, and business center. Business services include use of a laptop or fax machine in the guestrooms. Four elegant salons provide extra lounge space when not in use for meetings or receptions.

Maybe is too much to ask for a 5-star luxury together with a relaxing ambiance, especially for an hotel that has more than a century of history and, maybe, especially for Paris. Room was wonderful, and we got a complimentary (and not requested!) upgrade upon checking in. Been there two nights starting from February 7th 2004, the room was actually fabulous (though not too big), comparable to that of a royal palace and the bathroom was... well, as big and beautiful as the room (let's say, 30sqm + 30 sqm). The most beautiful and remarkable bathroom I've ever seen (though I usually travel 5-star and an average of 50nights/year). Breakfast was good, nothing more. Next time, will try the Ritz.

We stayed at the Meurice hotel and we could not believe the atmosphere, charm, etc.., everything is beautiful, fresh flowers all around including in the bedroom. The rooms are beautiful, silk drapes, bathrooms of marble, elegant toiletries, what can I say, you won't regret if you check in at The Meurice, the breakfast was superb, and the restaurant is beautiful too. For us it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in, in every way, service from check in to check out, cleanliness, quiet, elegant, modern comforts in a Parisian charm!

Stayed two nights at the Meurice at the end of a vacation. This would be considered a "top 5" hotel in any city in the world. The service was superior (with the recent building collapse at the Paris airport, the doorman was able to direct the taxi driver to the proper departing terminal for the return flight). Personal security was exceptional. This is obviously a place that is used to housing the powerful and wealthy. The main restaurant was terrific, if perhaps a tick below Alain Ducasse. The "coffee shop" is decorated in a way superior to 999 of 1000 fine restaurants. If you want to feel like a king or queen for a day, this is the place. Bring your royal checkbook!

The hotel was awesome. The staff was wonderful and so was the dining. The location of the hotel was great and the hotle could accomidate you with almost anything you requested. The location was also great for shopping, one of my favorite things to do. If you have not ever stayed there than I highyl recommend it. I do know fine things from living in the expensive city I live in with fine dining but I still felt like I was royalty. Thank you for my wonderful stay.
