Excellent value hotel in all sense with little minor
Our stay at Millennium Hotel was excellent with little inconvenience. Situated on George Square Millennium Hotel is positioned at the very heart of Glasgow. Everything you want is within easy walking distance, including the Hop-On/Hop-Off tour bus if you want a nice city tour. One of the two main rail stations is just behind the hotel, and an Underground station is very close by. Continuing the old/new theme, the hotel is housed in an old building with character, but it is a completely modern hotel, re-done within the last few years to the highest possible standard. The rooms are modern and well appointed. They are well insulated from the noise of the busy square, and are even air conditioned. Wi-Fi internet access is available, and there are further internet terminals in the hotel lobby.
The greeting and service on arrival was excellent which was maintained throughout our stay. All staff were extremely friendly and courteous and were ready to go out of their way to help.
A minor inconvenience was that non smoking rooms where we stayed were located close to elevators, so we had to cross through stale smelling hallway to get to the rooms. Other than that, Millennium Hotel is a great place to stay.

Millennium Hotel - our primary choice
We were overwhelmingly happy with the Millenium Hotel Glasgow. And would definately recommend it to friends. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the top floor and was a corner unit so we had the best of both worlds; the bedroom was situtated on the quiet side of the building and the bathroom was on the front of the building so we were able to see all the action of George Square from there. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. It was cleaned throughlyon daily basis that gave us a fresh clean space to come back to after a day of sightseeing.
The location couldn't be better, this is such a central hotel with Merchant City, Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street all steps from the hotel. There is also the tourist office across the square and the hop on hop off tour bus starts right outside the hotel. Interestingly enough, our room was facing a nearby train station and we have not heard a thing.
We loved Glasgow and would definately keep Millenium Hotel as our primary choice.
