A stunning scenic island off the coast of Malaysia and washed by the South China Sea lies Tioman Island. This, the largest and most spectacular of Peninsular Malaysia's east coast islands is 39 km long and 12 km wide. The island is covered in dense jungle and high Mountain peaks meaning only the coastal areas have been inhabited.
There are five villages on Tioman. Some have not changed their traditions and are still dependent on the island growing fruits, vegetables and fishing. Fresh water is abundant. Streams and waterfalls are found all over the island. As an indication of the island's abundant natural beauty, Tioman is generally regarded as the setting for the mythical Bali Hai in the film South Pacific. It's no wonder Tioman has been given the title - 'one of the top ten most beautiful islands in the world'. |
| LOCATION |

Minang Cove Resort is located on the Tioman Island, Mersing, Johor, West Malaysia. Access to Tioman is getting much easier. An additional ferry terminal at Tanjong Gemok has recently been opened for those traveling from Kuantan. Ferry fares are the same as Mersing. Closed during monson season.
There are no roads to Minang Cove Resort. The only way there is by boat. Don't worry, the resort has a number of nice speed boats to pick you up and enjoy the scenery on the way.
The flight takes 55 min from Kuala Lumpur and 35 mins from Singapore. The resort's speedboat will be waiting to transfer you to the resort. A speedboat service takes 1 hour 15 min direct to island but has to be pre-booked though Minang Cove. You can collect your ticket from the resort's office directly opposite the ferry terminal. Normally ferries depart at 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. Actual timing depands on the tide. |

* Restaurant & Bar:
In the heart of the resort in the beautifully styled restaurant where guests will enjoy their delicious Malay cuisine. The beach front bar open all day, with open-air verandah offers a variety of beverages, snacks and romantic sun sets. The room rate includes half board meal, breakfast (buffet), afternoon tea (in the garden) and dinner buffet. Once a week there is BBQ dinner. Ala-carte lunch is a choice of western and local dishes which can be order from the restaurant.
* Activities:
Due to the wonderful location and superb natural facilities, Minang Cove Resort has an abundance of activities right on the doorstep. From the resort beach you can enjoy snorkelling, sea kayaking and scuba diving. In addition and within a short boat trip you can play an 18 hole golf course.
* Jungle Trekking:
Words alone cannot express the atmosphere felt once you step into Tiomans tropical rainforest. The sites, sounds and smells are so unique. A 45 mins trek takes you into Kampong Mukut, a small fishing village. 1 hour 45 mins takes you to Tiomans largest Waterfall. Here you may swim in the cool, refreshing pool at the base of the falls. For the more adventurous, climb one of the 2490 ft "Twin Peaks". Only for the very fit and must be accompanied by a guide.
* Snorkeling:
Great fun for the whole family. Whether you snorkel off the beach or take a boat to one of the small islands, you will be amazed by the beauty of the coral reefs and its inhabitance. Minang Cove Resort has floats and rings for the not so strong swimmers. Masks, snorkels and fins can be rented at the resort.
* Diving:
Under the guidance of an experienced Dive Master or instructor explore all local sites, each having their own individual characteristics. The South China Sea hosts prolific marine life consisting of dolphins, turtles, sharks, rays, barracudas and many others.
* Island Tour:
Explore the coastline of Tioman aboard the resort's speed boat. The full day trip stops at wonderful coral reefs for snorkeling. Stop off at villages for site seeing and lunch as well as other interesting places around the Island.
* Sea Kayaks:
Take out a two man kayak and explore the deserted beaches and coves. Maybe catch a glimpse at the magnificent Sea Eagle out to catch lunch.
* Fishing:
The waters around Tioman now come under Marine Park protection, so only fishing outside the Marine Park boundary is permitted.
* Golf:
A short boat ride away is Tiomans only 18 hole golf course. If you are a golfer you must play this beautiful golf course with its spectacular scenery and jungle lined fairways, making also for a memorable walk. The course is very challenging but is always quiet. Clubs, shoes and buggies can be rented. |

The Minang Sea view Chalet is a comfortable air conditioned, en-suite single story bungalow, built to traditional styling with local wood furniture. The rooms are spacious and include their own veranda with stunning views over the cove. Each chalet can sleep up to 4 people in comfort.
* Beach Front Deluxe Chalet:
The Minang Seaview Chalet is a comfortable air conditioned, ensuite single story bungalow, built to traditional styling with local wood furniture. The rooms are spacious and include their own veranda with stunning views over the cove. Each chalet can sleep up to 3 people in comfort.
* Sea View Deluxe Chalet:
The fabulous air conditioned deluxe chalets, with mini bar, tea, coffee making facility. A large verandah provides breathtaking views.
* Beach Front Villa:
This villa is right on the beach and at high tide the water goes under the verandah. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, the third bedroom has a double and a single bed. The hall hosts the second bathroom and a small kitchen with mini bar and tea, coffee making facilities. The large verandah has a three piece lounging chairs and coffee table, as well as a six chair dinner table. The villa will sleep 7 people in comfort.
* Sea View Villa:
The Sea View Villa is on the hill over looking the cove. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 single beds with connecting bathroom. The third bedroom has three single beds with connecting bathroom. Also has a small kitchen with mini bar and tea, coffee making facilities. The large verandah has a three piece lounging chair set and coffee table, as well as a six chair dinner table. The villa can sleep 7 people in comfort.
* Tree Top Villa:
The Tree Top villa overlooks the resort and cove. The master bedroom has a king size bed and one single bed. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third two single beds. The living area has lounge chairs, kitchen with mini bar and tea, coffee making facilities. One bath room with hot shower. The large verandah has Rotan table and chairs. The Tree Top Villa can sleep up to 7 people in comfort. |

2. Cancellations made within the cancellation deadline will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
3. No-shows will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
4. No cancellations on or after check-in date.
