The Hotel Miramalfi, which took five years to build, was the realisation of the Mansi family's dream. The project was begun by Francesco Mansi, assisted by his son Mario who later, with his wife Emma, took over management of the hotel. The hotel opened in the spring of 1956. The name was chosen by the family patriarch Francesco who, when he returned to Amalfi after many years in Mexico , achieved a lifelong ambition: to live on the seaside and, everyday, to be able to enjoy a unique view of his hometown. When construction was completed, Francesco, standing on the restaurant's terrace, exclaimed emotionally: "Mira.Amalfi!" ("Look...Amalfi!").
The hotel is still run by Signora Emma Cimmino Mansi and her children, Raffaella and Francesco. |

Hotel Miramalfi is situated in Amalfi, on the picturesque road which hugs the Amalfi Coast. The hotel enjoys a super position, perched right above the sea. From the bedrooms, the terraces, the restaurant, and the swimming pool, magnificent views of the town of Amalfi can be admired. Amalfi is right at the center of the Amalfi Coast, with Positano, Furore, Conca dei Marini and Praiano on the one side, and Atrani, Ravello, and Maiori on the other. |

* Il Ristorante (the restaurant) boasts a spectacular, incomparable view of Amalfi. It is air-conditioned and the glass walls on three sides give guests the feeling of being suspended above the sea. The floor is tiled with traditional majolica from Vietri, in colours typical of the Amalfi Coast . The modern furnishings make the restaurant particularly welcoming. During the summer season, guests can choose to dine by candlelight on the marvellous terrace perched above the sea. On some days of the week, dining pleasure is enhanced with live musical entertainment. In the kitchen, the young brigade of chefs prepares dishes that infuse traditional local cuisine with creativity and imagination. Buffet breakfast, lunch during the low season and dinner are served in Il Ristorante. Long trousers are requested at dinner.
* The Angolino snack bar is located at sea-level in the bathing area, only a few steps from the pool. Here, between one refreshing dip and the next, guests have the opportunity to enjoy quick snacks, pizzas baked in a traditional wood-burning oven and complete meals of seafood, grilled meats and fish prepared in the full-view kitchen by the young brigade of cooks.
* Just off the reception hall is the American bar, with soft lights, pleasant background music and comfortable armchairs. Here, the barman prepares inviting cocktails until late in the evening. The bar's terrace is open during the summer months and offers an enchanting and romantic view of Amalfi.
* The hotel’s large rocky bathing platform (accessible by lift or stairs) with its splendid seawater swimming pool is an ideal place to swim, sunbathe or relax. |

* The hotel has 2 single rooms, 43 double and superior rooms and 4 junior suites and suites. All of the rooms have balconies or terraces facing the sea. The rattan furnishings reflect the typical blue and green colours of the coast, as do the floor tiles from Vietri. Each of the rooms has air-conditioning and heating, direct telephone line, minibar, satellite TV, safe, hairdryer and, in the superior rooms and suites, hydromassage. Extra beds can be provided on request in nearly all of the rooms. They offer communicating rooms to families with children. |
