Stayed a week at the Monna Lisa. Great staff. Great location, charming former villa. Beautiful breakfast room. Room sizes vary so check it out first. Don't miss the special Mona Lisa artwork.

The Hotel Monna Lisa is off the beaten path but in a good location betweem the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. The many common rooms are furnished with antiques. Breakfasts were wonderful. I found the hotel a pleasant haven to rest and relax after busy trips about the city. I liked the interior courtyard and my room in the newer annex. My sense is that the rooms vary in size and decor, so you may want to see a few if you're unhappy with your assignment.
This is not the place for people who want to stay on a busy street and near nightlife, nor for those who need elevators and want to minimize walking. I thought the service was quite good -- capable, proper and quiet rather than bubbly and flattering.

This was perfect hotel for our honeymoon. It has a old world charm versus a Four Seasons feel. Also, it was off the beaten path which gave it a nice touch compared to being around some of the busier areas of Florence. The only thing lacking for my tastes was the lack of a bar to mingle with others at the hotel. My wife wants to know when we are schedule to go back.

This is a gem of a hotel. It used to be an old palace some 700 years ago. Absolutely beautiful! Gardens, great breakfast, well appointed rooms, cozy bar. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better more romantic hotel. Rates were much lower than posted on the website. We went in November. Located very close to the Duomo. The service is what really set this hotel apart!!!!!

This hotel was great. Very charming and well located. The staff was superbly friendly and answered loads of silly questions. They spoke perfect English. It was a very American friendly hotel, with many of the amenities you'd expect to find in the States. My only complaint was that we were stuck in a room on the ground floor of the annex, and our courtyard view more accurately a view of their gravel parking lot. I'd highly recommend this hotel, but I strongly suggest trying to secure a room in the main building.

Formerly a Florence Palace begun in the 1300s, this establishment has the old world charm you would want when visiting Italy. With a great location only minutes from the Duomo, everything is within walking distance for the most part. Enjoy a drink out in the garden from the exceedingly helpful staff. The rooms were standard size for Europe from my experience, and they also have a free internet point as well. I would highly recommend this hotel.
