Thoroughly enjoyed my stay
I have stayed at the Neckar while visiting my friends in Heidelberg. Neckar is an older hotel, but it is very clean, safe and comfortable. The location could not be better. My room was quite small, but it did not bother me whatsoever since I was most of the time out browsing around. Besides, I had a wonderful view overlooking the river. The breakfast served in the morning is a perfect way to start off the day. I found the hotel staff to be accommodating, welcoming, and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. |

Location Location Location
Great spot right on the river overlooking the new bridge at the edge of the old city. Seconds on foot from Bismarckplatz and 10 min. from Lufthansa bus pickup point. They serve an outstanding breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, a dozen different rolls and breads as well as cold cereal, yogurt, cheese and cold cuts. A very courteous and helpful staff helped make our stay enjoyable. Decor is kind of early 60s German Mod. The only negative is the room carpet really needs to be replaced and the tile grout in the shower was a bit moldy. Otel got us 6 nights in a double at 102 USD/night with the posted rate of 128 Euro. I would definitely stay again and reccomend to others for basic budget accomodations |
