Welcome to The New York Helmsley Hotel, a world-class property nestled in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, within walking distance of Times Square, Grand Central Station and the United Nations, as well as the Theatre District and Rockefeller Center.

From the moment you step through the front door, you will immediately notice the attention to detail that the Helmsley name is synonymous with. From the classic marble lobby, to the warm and spacious guest rooms, you will be impressed with all the service and amenities that the guests have come to expect from a Helmsley Hotel.

The only goal is to make your stay in The Big Apple memorable, one that will exceed all of your expectations and make you forever think of the City and The New York Helmsley, as your Home Away from Home.

* A $75 million renovation began January 9, 2012. The hotel is open and fully operational as the NY Helmsley during renovation. There will be very little, if any, impact on the guest's experience. All of the renovation is behind closed doors and the hotel will have buffer floors to shield the guest floors from any potential noise disruption. Renovations are expected to be completed by May/June, 2012 at which time the hotel will change names to a Westin Hotel, name TBD at this time. The first 2 floors of renovated rooms are anticipated to come back into inventory early March 2012.

New York Helmsley Hotel is centrally located on East 42nd between 2nd Avenue & 3rd Avenue 2 blocks from Grand Central Central Station; the United Nations and just five blocks from the revitalized Times Square.

The restaurant’s quiet elegance is marked by a series of hand painted murals depicting nineteenth century Manhattan and accented by two-story high windows along the entire South wall. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a soothing ambiance with genuinely friendly and impeccable service.

*Harry's Bar:
Look no further for the best happy hour in town. Harry's Bar offers light fare in a casual atmosphere, perfect for enjoying specialty cocktails or simply unwinding after work. And you’ll always enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres during Happy Hour at Harry’s Bar.

* Located in the heart of midtown, the ballrooms are the perfect location for a dazzling Manhattan Wedding or Black Tie Benefit. Thr elegant ballroom, The Knickerbocker Suite, boasts floor to ceiling windows, rich oak detail, lush burgundy hues, and crystal chandeliers. The Knickerbocker Suite is fit for a star-studded reception with cocktail party for up to 500 guests, or a reception and dinner dance that will accommodate up to 180 guests. On-site ceremony services are available at no additional charge, or inquire about contacting the United Nations chapel, just two blocks from the Hotel.
