We spent 3 days in Salzburg and in this hotel. The people at the reception are very nice and helpful. In addition the hotel has its own parking lot and underground parking (against fee). The rooms are beautifully furnished, also in a single room is a large double-size bed. Unfortunately it is very loud, so you cannot sleep at night with open windows. An air conditioning system is missing, however a heating, which is actually not used, since it is also so warm in the rooms enough. The bath is largely and has a bath tub. The breakfast is plentiful. There are eggs e.g. cooked or blow crescents, fruit salad and Muffins. The breakfastbuffet is first-class. Only the operation at the bar leaves to desires. Altogether a good hotel, with not the best rooms but a good breakfast. |

We did a last minute booking for a room at the NH Hoteles. Not knowing a lot about the hotel, except what we read on this site, we were pleasantly surprised at the spacious room and delicious, abundent breakfast provided by the hotel. The room had a separate children's bed which was perfect for our daughter. The hotel is a short walk to the altstadt. We will definitely stay here again!! |

The hotel is very nice. Wonderful rooms, and helpful staff. BUT! When we checked in, they pointed at the breakfast room and said, "breakfast is in there, from 7 to 10 a.m" . No mention was made of any additional charge. No "room numbers" were taken as you went in, people just came, ate and left. We have stayed at hotels all over Europe, and breakfast has been included in the room rate at all the hotels we stayed in. When we checked out, they asked if we had eaten breakfast. We told them we had -- and they added 26 Euros PER DAY onto our bill. When we complained that we had been told where to have breakfast, and not been told it cost extra (!), they said, "Sorry, not included at this room rate." We were never told, and it really bugged me. They should have told us when we checked in that breakfast was available, but at an additional charge. |

I have stayed there on two different occations and I wouldn't hesitate to pay a new visit. Last time was spring 2003. I stayed there for three nigths. Hotel is clean, modern and the rooms are spacious. Also bathroom is nice, though I don't want to stand in a bath when taking a shower.Staff is friendly and breakfast is delicious and gives a good start for a day. Hotel is situated 3 min walk from touristic area. Couldn't hear any noise in my room. Beer is cheap in the bar but beware those overprized spirits! ; ) |

I stayed at the hotel for three nights in June. The room was excellent. Location was good - just a few minutes walk to the main sights of the city and close to the train station. A very nice place which I would recommend. |
