I stayed here in April 2003 for 6 nights. The bedroom was small, as most European rooms are. the bath was quite large. Rooms were clean and staff friendly. TV receives 6 channels, all in French -- but seeing "You Want to be a Millionaire" and guessing in French was fun. Having a room safe was a plus. We had a back room which was very quiet. It appears to be a converted apartment building from maybe 1920s/30s. Excellent location in very good neighborhood. Metro is only 1 1/2 blocks away, which will get you anywhere in Paris. The continental breakfast was pretty good. I would stay here again.

I have stayed in Paris countless times and I have to say that the Novanox is a keeper. I got a great deal on gtahotels. The bathrooms are positively huge in comparison to standard French hotels and the staff are lovely. The location is great too. For those people complaining about the lack of CNN - it's Paris not Pittsburgh and you wouldn't expect Le Monde in New York - and no aircon - get over it, it's charming.

Spent weekend here and we found location was perfect. Rooms were clean but little on small side but who cares there are BATHS in rooms and nice comfy beds.
We had a room on the road in summer which was fine as street is not busy at night. Breakfast was okay crossiants and cafe.....what more do you need in Paris. Overall it is good hotel.

Spent a week at the Novanox during Christmas. Found the location very convenient. The Metro is about a block away. The RER is right on the corner near the hotel. Great restaurants in the area. Easy walk or Metro ride to the St. Germaine area and the Ile de Paris. Daily breakfast was provided at no extra cost. The rooms, while small, where clean and served us well. Good hotel at a great price in a great location!

We have stayed at the Novanox for a week at least 4 times over the last few years (most recent was in 2002). We have found the staff helpful (arranging auto transportation) and extremely fluent in English. Yes, the rooms are small, but they are well maintained. We happen to like the street side rooms (people watching is a habit). The breakfast is a delight, very French if you will (croisants, yogurt, kiwi fruit, coffee) although it is served not that far from the reception desk (we have never been there when they could use the pleasant looking outside seating). There are many good restaurants in easy walking distance, especially a traditional one which is our Parisien favorite. RER (Port Royale) and Metro stations (Raspail) are a short walk away. We would recommend the Novanox to any one and feel that we had given them good advice.

We stayed in Hotel Novanox in June 2004.
It's a small hotel on Blvd Montparnasse. The location
is really nice, 5mins from Jardin du Luxembourg, plenty
of nice cafes on the roads behind the hotel, and with a
bus/Metro stations within 2-5mins walk.
The staff was extremely helpful, English speaking, and
this was true for the 3-4 different front desk people I
interacted with.
The room we stayed in was right next to the elevator,
so there was a bit of noise, but not enough to bother
us. We faced away from Montparnasse, so not much
road noise either. Room furnishings were so-so, but
the sheets were changed every single day and was
kept very clean. We had a double and there was
enough room for a spare cot for our 2 year old.
The bathroom was spacious and had superb fittings,
seemed brand new. Was a real pleasure to soak after
a long day of walking around.
All in all, we had a very good experience with the staff
and the hotel and would not hesitate to go back!
