Right in the centre

I have stayed at the Novotel Ottawa on several occasions. The rooms are small to midsize, well appointed, clean and modern. The staff is exceptional, very friendly and helpful. If you can, get a rate including breakfast, they have a great buffet breakfast. This hotel is close to everything you want to see and do in Ottawa. The parliament buildings, the Rideau Centre and the NAC (theatre, ballet etc..) This hotel is part of the Novotel chain and as such has a European influence. Breakfast is European style, although it does include bacon and eggs. The hotel is right in the centre of everything there is to do in Ottawa. Hotels own restaurant is Excellent and serves all day including room service at reasonable rates. The guest rooms are simple, clean and modern. The area is very nice and safe. Right near the Byward Market. It can look a little shabby in the spring, as does all of Canada when the snow first melts, but is clean and nice in the summer.
