Amazing Old Street
The service provided by the manager (can't remember his name) was unbelievable. Before arriving in Hanoi he helped us book a day trip around Hanoi and tour to Halong Bay. Both were excellent and compared to stories from other travellers the tours were both cheaper and of a better standard than other companies. The manager even recommended cheaper tours which he thought were better value than the more expensive ones.
The most amazing part of his services was as follows - we had asked one of his staff members to book us a flight from Saigon/HSMC to Bangkok. Although we were happy with the price, he recommended that we change to another airline and offered to cancel the other flight and arrange it all for us - all in order to save us US$5 each. He was not pushy at all and was only trying to save us some money.
We loved the Old Street Hotel - it was by far the best place we stayed during our 10 weeks in South-east Asia. |

Great place!
Booked on recommendation of a friend who has stayed there.
Had an excellent room with view of lake with separate bathroom, fridge, air con, TV and spotlessly clean.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and arranged bookings to Sapa and Halong Bay at very good prices.Great place to meet people from UK, Canada, US, Sweden etc. |

Everything was enough !
The room was clean. We did not feel any smoking smell although we were living in smokers' level. However, the dryer in the bathroom was not easy to use. we were not disappointed that we could see too much news on TV,enough choices in TV channels.It is located in the city center close to the walking area - promenade by the Hoan Kiem Lake, food market and night market in Old Street. |

Friendly hotel in Hanoi !
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Check-in/check-out were simple and uneventful. The food was good and the free breakfast well done with a variety of items. It is well located being a short walk from the bus stations and several embassies. It is quite easy and cheap to go anywhere in Mall Street without using a taxi. . I will come there again |
