We stayed at this hotel the first couple of nights on our honeymoon and were very satisfied. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a very convinient location with metro stops just about any direction from the hotel. It made getting around the city for sight seeing very easy. The rooms were nicely sized, and seemed very clean. All in all, I'd definitely go back!

Stayed at the Opera Cadet May 5-11, 2004. We had a 4th floor room overlooking the street. The street was very quiet and never bothered us. We walked about 15 minutes to Gare du Nord to catch the Eurostar for a day trip to London. Walking back to the hotel at 11:30pm was very safe with lots of people on the streets. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Opera Garnier and major department stores. Several good places to eat are within just a few minutes stroll. The room was clean and the hotel staff were very helpful. Our only complaint was my wife not liking the hair dryer output. This was our second trip to Paris and will stay at the Opera Cadet on our next visit.

My friend and I stayed at the Opera Cadet Hotel the middle of January 04 for 6 days. We loved it! It was walking distance to two major department store, the Opera, our touring office, and right down the street from the Metro. The staff we're not only very friendly but extremely helpful in making suggestions and recommendations. The room was small but adequate and kept very clean by the staff. I would love to return in warm weather and eat in their outside courtyard. Truly a very Parisian neighborhood with a bakery, vegetable stand, flower stand, chocolate shop etc. right on your street! I recommend this hotel very highly! Jan Day Moline, Il

In 2004, it will be our 4th visit to Paris. We found the Opera Cadet on our first visit, and have stayed there every time we have visited Paris. The staff is extremely courteous, friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms, are small, yet comfortable. The neighborhood offers every need, from the metro station just a few feet away, to small shops for food, wine, desserts, and staples. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

very nice hotel. clean. desk personnel were extremely helpful, especially thierry, the night desk clerk, who phoned his mother to get answers to my questions, when he did not know!! nicely located, about 10 minute walk to the opera, and 15 minutes to gallerie lafayette/le printemps department stores. pharmacy, small grocery stores, bakery very close by. safe neighborhood for evening walks. nice fruit basket deliverd by front desk on arrival day. breakfast sufficient, though not "grand" with the usual bread, croissants, yogurt, cereals. nothing bad at all to say about this property! i would stay there again.

We were moved to this hotel for just a couple of nights, by the one we originally booked. The rooms were small but bright (the usual French peach) and the service was good. The rooms facing the back were much quieter with a pretty view of their tiny garden. The lobby is spacious and leads to the garden, as does the breakfast room. We did find that most of the brasseries were closed for a late dinner. But during the day there are nice food shops on the cute street, and all the sales people were friendly. We loved the cheese we bought there.

What a super find right in the heart of the Opera district! A 10 minute walk to either Gare St. Lazare or Gare du Nord. Excellent, helpful staff. The bartender even gave us an ice bucket to chill our champagne that we'd brought. Room was a good size with plenty of mirrors for 3 women getting ready to go out. Gorgeous bouquets of fresh flowers everywhere and an excellent breakfast included in the room price. I would definitely stay here again! Just one quibble, the beds have plastic coated mattresses that are very noisy, hot and uncomfortable. I put a towel down, but it didn't solve the problem. Otherwise a super spot!

We just returned from staying at the Opera Cadet Hotel for a week in Paris. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a charming, clean, friendly hotel. It is located on a quiet street in a great neighborhood with a metro stop that is a stone's throw from the front door. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast each morning was excellent. This hotel made our stay a perfect experience because we love Paris.

gtahotels saved my day. I was about to be sent to another hotel (the Mondial) by a local agency and when I looked it up it turned out to be a dump. So I opted for Oper? Cadet - and I have no regrets.
Although the room we were in (112) was rather small, we were still very favourably impressed by the cleanliness of the place as well as by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Air-conditioning and sound-proofing were excellent too, as was the pleasant garden-restaurant that our room overlooked.
Breakfasts were ample (though some cold meat-cuts would have been appreciated).
The hotel is located literally a stone's throw away from the Metrò as well as from a variety of good restaurants, serving a variety of dishes. Some quaint shops with reasonably priced foodstuffs are also close by.
