Orchard Hotel is centrally located and ideally close to Hyde Park, Park Lane, and the major shopping street of London , the Oxford Street and of course Buckingham Palace. (announcement & website)
Situated in Sussex Gardens an elegant, tree lined Avenue running onto Bayswater Road, the hotel is a fine Victorian building, offering 43 rooms of accommodation. A privately owned Hotel, that offers both comfort and personal service in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Sussex Gardens was built to provide luxury houses for Victorian families, including very famous names. Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the World Scout movement was christened in St James's Church. The family of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle lived in the Gardens and at St Mary's Hospital, Sir Alexander Flemming discovered penicillin.
Sussex Gardens was designed in early 19th century by Samuel Pepys Cockerell and is preserved for its architectural interest. Latrobe, who built the Capitol in Washington was a pupil under Cockerell. |

Stayed here for only one night. Hotel has a convenient location close to Hyde Park. From there it is easy to reach the other parts of the city easily from Paddington, Edgware Road and Lancaster Gate underground stations. My room was comfortable and clean with ...
