A True Palace
We stayed at the Ostoya Palace for three nights as a group of 6 ladies. We booked three rooms and were delighted by the hotel from the moment our taxi arrived outside. The exterior was truly beautiful and situated only 10 mins or less from the centre of Krakow. The staff were really friendly and the decor and furnishing within the hotel were very tasteful and homely. The breakfast was served up until 11 am each morning and was faultless. Everything you could have wished for and more.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They kindly negotiated a price for a taxi to take us to Auchwitz and back and checked our return transfer on our behalf. They also have a great cellar bar which can be accessed via the hotel lift or out of the hotel door, turn left and down the steps. It was very cozy and VERY cheap! Had there not been so much to see, I could happily have whiled away my time with a good book in the very comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Clean towels and dressing gowns were left each day and the sheets were starched white and absolutely pristine. I will return to the Ostoya again and again. My only fear is that I am so impressed by the place and although my nature is to share good experiences, I'm fearful that it will now be so popular that I may never get chance to get a room at short notice ever again.mmm
