The Hotel Oxford was a welcome stop on our 2 week Italy trip. Clean and modern (in Italian terms) with narrow hallways, a scary set of stairs but overall, very nice and great value. On the downside, it's about 4 blocks away from any decent cafes. But only about a 10 minute walk to the famed Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The staff are friendly and spoke perfect English. Rooms are fine and good size. We walked everywhere so bring your walking shoes. Out of the 4 hotels we stayed in Italy (three were 3 star and one was 4 star) this was the nicest. If you don't mind walking a lot.... this is perfectly fine.

Hotel Oxford was the first place we stayed in Italy. Though the rooms were small and a bit noisey (might ask for a room that does not face the street), they were nice and clean. Location was good as well.

I got married in Rome last August and stayed at the Oxford hotel. It was a fantastic hotel, very clean and close to all major tourist spots in Rome. From the minute we arrived (a party of 30 people accompanied us) we enjoyed ourselves. Everything was perfect. The staff were very helpful at organising a limo, a restuarant, photographer etc. Flavio at reception did alot for us and a great "Thank you" to him. Also, Max at the bar definitely made our wedding one to remember. One thing is for sure we will definitely go back some day to Rome and if we do it will be to Hotel Oxford!!!

Booked this as part of a flight/hotel package through ebookers and wasn't sure what to expect. However the staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants to try, and organising taxis etc. The room was on the small side, but we were out from morning until night, so we didn't really need anything more than this. The room was very clean and well maintained and the minibar was not a rip off. The hotel is in a really nice area and 5mins gets you onto the Via Veneto and another 5mins gets you to the Spanish Steps. Other sites are also very accessible on foot from here. Having the hotel organise your taxi pickup and drop-off from and to the airport will save you a few euro also.

The Oxford is a great place to stay while in Rome. it is in a great area in the city, however can be some time away from all the attractions. the staff are all helpful, and speak good English. the Bar is cosy and homely, with the barman Mario who is a great drinks server.
I did not visit the restaurant at night but i did have breakfast there.
the food was limited, bread was hard and the yogurts were awful. i don'nt class my holiday on the food served at breakfast though, which means i had a wonderful stay, and would be delighted to return anytime.

We stayed here on our honeymoon in Sept 2003.
The rooms were average, I would recommend this hotel due to price.
Location is pretty good - walking distance to many restaurants and subway system.
Not a first class hotel, but you aren't paying first class rates either.
I would stay there again. I liked the free internet connection.

Stayed in a double room in March 2003. We needed cot for 18mnth baby and with the cot in the room there was no room for anything else. Room would have bordered on ok if no cot, but certainly not spacious. Other than room size, everything else good to very good: clean rooms, friendly staff.
