Pavillon Bastille is opposite to Opera Bastille, close to the Marais area, a charming privately owned mansion with its flower courtyard in the latest fashionable area of Paris. This is a bold, brassy, innovative hotel in a 1991 town house across from the Opera Bastille and a block south of place de la Bastille. A 17th century fountain graces the courtyard between the hotel and the street.

This charming hotel was the perfect place to stay for my first, fabulous trip to Paris. The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms impecible, and the breakfast very tasty. We even received a complimentary bottle of champagne! (We were there over New Year's)...
