The 104-room Baltimore hotel was built in 1928 as a luxury apartment building in one of the city's poshest neighborhoods. The hotel features a two-story, marble-tiled lobby with a 6-foot-long Baccarat crystal chandelier. Straddling Baltimore's arts and business districts, the hotel draws celebrities, dignitaries, and visitors to nearby theaters, shops, and galleries.
Adjacent to the lobby, Peabody's fitness room has a weight machine, treadmill, exercise bike, and stair machine; guests can also use the Downtown Athletic Club a half-mile away.
Baltimore's Antiques Row begins three blocks west of the hotel on Howard Street. In the 800 block, Drusilla's Books carries an impressive collection of old and rare children's books. |
