Pestana Alvor Praia Hotel faces south to the sea and is one of the few Hotels in the Algarve, Portugal, that is located directly to the sandy beach which stretches for about 2 kms. Within 5 minutes walk guests can be in the centre of the old fishing village of Alvor which offers many fine fish restaurants and friendly bars.
There are also 8 golf courses within a radius of 15 kms, two of which belong to the Pestana Hotel Group. For general shopping there is the commercial town of Portimão which is only some 10 minutes drive. |

Hotel is beautiful and staff were very accommodating. The resort is in a tranquil location, great for day trips to surrounding areas and lots to do in Alvor. Locals were very welcoming to foreigners. Most important tip would be to have a really good road ma...
