The Pestana Porches Praia Hotel is 60 comfortable holiday suite apartments with direct access to the beach in the Algarve, Portugal. The apartment terraces enjoy fabulous sea views. They are an integral part of the “Pestana Hotel Viking Beach Resort” that occupies a prime position above the beach at Senhora da Rocha close to Porches and about 40 minutes drive from Faro Airport.
The apartments are composed of one-bedroom, two-bedrooms and three bedrooms, all of which have been newly refurnished and have air-conditioned, safes, satellite TV, telephone, and with kitchens equipped with all that you should need to make the holiday enjoyable.
As the Pestana Porches Praia Apartments are an important part of the Resort, all its guests have use of the many available facilities that are created for their enjoyment and to make a very successful holiday. Located in the heart of the Algarve, just 25 minutes from Faro International Airport, 15 minutes from the centre of Portimão and 1 Km from Armação de Pêra.
The Vale Pinta Golf Course is one of the best-designed courses in Europe. It is a Championship course with an exceptional layout designed by the famous American golf course architect, Ronald Fream, and inaugurated in 1992. It has earned a deserved reputation for the outstanding level of maintenance of the course, and its design, which makes it a challenge to golfers of all standards.
The fairways are Bermuda grass, while strategically positioned sand bunkers protect the greens, clad in Pen Cross Bent, and two ornamental lakes influence play at four different holes around the course.
The rolling terrain is dotted with carob, fig, almond and olive trees, some of which are more than 600 years old, and a very special feature of this course is one olive tree that dates back more than 1200 years. |
