Perfect location althoug not what we expected after what we read on the gtahotels reviews, never take a room on the front facade, and as people on the reception were very nice the breakfats attendants were bad humored. Nice breakfast and well furnished hotel.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Pierre in March 2004. The location is great and is within walking distance of all the major sites in downtown florence. The room and breakfast were okay but not fantastic. However, we found that the hotel staff was extremely helpful. For example, they got us opera tickets, made restaurant reservations, gave excellent directions to secure rental car and return down the maze of streets.

I stayed at Hotel Pierre in May 2004 for a week. Its in a great base for a holiday. The location is excellent, the room size is good and kept very clean. There is some noise in the early hours, when stalls are setting up in a nearby small market, but you cannot be central and expect total quiet. The staff at the hotel really make it special. They were efficient and friendly. They booked tickets for the Uffizi, printed off rail timetables and pointed us to some good places to eat. The barman also made very generous sized drinks!

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at the Hotel Pierre. We were originally booked in to stay at the Strozzi Palace Hotel, but the bathrooms there had flooded, so they kindly transferred us to the Pierre for the same price. If you're looking for a hotel in a really good central location, with a luxurious feel to it and friendly service, I would say this is the one if you can afford their prices.

As in above reviews the Hotel Pierre's location can't be beat. Easy walking distance to all of the major sites. It is also within easy walking distance to the train station for easy and inexpensive daytrips to Sienna, Pisa and other parts of Tuscany. The hotel was also very nice. Charming room (room 105) with big beautiful windows. The bathroom was large and gorgeous. We got a great deal on the room at accommodationow.com (breakfast included). Highly recommended!!! You will love Florence and this hotel.

Stayed 3 nights starting 11/6/2003. Located near the Piazza Republica, many shops, restaurants and markets nearby. We stayed in a large, clean and attractive room with renovated washroom. The washroom was large, but the shower stall was narrow. Heated towel racks were greatly appreciated, especially for lite laundry.
The breakfast room was charming and the buffet was tasty. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful.
No safe in the rooms--we used the Hotel safe.
Most attractions were within walking distance.
Would stay there again. PG

Stayed 3 nights begining November 5, 2003. Great location near the Piazza Republica, many stores, restaurants and markets. All tourist attractions within walking distance. The room was large and attractive and the washroom recently redone. Only complaint is that the shower stall was very narrow, but adequate. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast room was charming. The breakfast buffet was very good.
There was no safe in the room, but used the Hotel's safe.
Would return--very nice hotel.

Fantastic hotel located in the historic center of Florence. Walking distance to all major sights in the city. Staff was exceptionally helpful, recoomending good neighborhood restaurants and places to visit. Room was large, clean and bathroom had heated towel racks. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Pierre in March, 2004. This hotel is ideally located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the center of the city. The hotel personnel are very friendly and helpful. They willingly made numerous telephone calls for our dinner and museum reservations and to help us with our car rental. The room was very charming (parquet floors, artistic lithographs on walls), clean, and was quiet in spite of the central location. The bathroom was small and lacked a bathtub but the shower was fine. There was no view since we were off the street. The room rate was an amazing bargain for Florence. I would highly recommend this establishment.
