Built in the 1980s, Pineta Palace Hotel is in a quiet residential district. The marble-floored reception area features a small goldfish pond and Asian artifacts, reflecting the owner's passion for the East. Reception merges into the lobby, which is furnished with low navy chairs and bustles with businesspeople and tour groups from Japan, the U.S., and the East. The Asian theme is continued in the hand-decorated glass panels by the bar and restaurant.
The hotel's Restaurant Aquarius features fresh Italian fare, such as porcini mushroom risotto. Outdoor dining is available during summer. Guests can enjoy drinks to piano accompaniment in the red-carpeted bar. The hotel also has an extensive business facilities, with audio-visual equipment and rooms suitable for small boardroom-style meetings or large conferences. The Sala Excelsa can seat 900 and is often used for local fashion shows. |

Situated in the lobby, this small bar has an intimate feel with red seats and a mirrored bar. Drinks and snacks are served all day, and in summer guests can sit outside on the terrace.
* Piano Bar:
This large downstairs bar has a red carpet offset with tartan-and-red walls. Lighting is subdued, and there are gilt-framed prints on the walls. A grand piano is often played in the evenings. The bar is not open during hot summer months, but otherwise opens in the evenings, serving drinks and snacks. |
