4.5* Stayed here 5/2002. Is a beautiful hotel. Perfect Paris red - there is no more Parisian hotel. Unreal, almost to good to be fully appreciated view of eiffel tower from our balcony. A long hall of little old ladies and european mafia-looking types (the wealthy kind) at afternoon tea daily. Hip bar. Arguably world's best restaurant.
Polite staff but somewhat above you unless you are famous or an oil sheik. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Neck and neck with a good room at the Crillon.

The Plaza Athenee is the creme de la creme of hotel establishments--impeccable furnishings and service, spacious and spectacular rooms (and bathrooms), top drawer all the way. Where else can you see Valentino in the lobby (his boutique is next door) and every other designer store on the street outside (rue Montaigne)? The bar is one of the hippest hang-outs in Paris, and the restaurant attached to the hotel is superb. It's a truly unparalleled experience.
You can see glimpse of it in the film "Something's Gotta Give", starring Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton.

A fantastic stay. Would stay here again at any give oppertunity. I cannot say enough. It was quite possibly the most luxurious room I have ever stayed in. Peaceful, beautiful, large. Excellent service, scrumptious food, superb location. If you desire it, the hotel most likely has it.Try: The gym, locker room, courtyard, lounge. I LOVED IT!

Unforgettable from the moment we checked in. My family spent 5 nights here from June 9-14. We had three rooms and they upgraded my parents to a junior suite- even if the rooms were more than adequate with beautiful bathrooms. They allowed my sister to check in without a credit card (she arrived a few hours ahead from San Francisco) and they sent us chocolates when we arrived. Firthermore, the excellent concierge team made us excellent restaurant reservations in advance (we had amazing dinners night after night) and took care of all our transportation needs flawlessly. Including arranging our train tickets for the rest of our European vacation- all the way up to Spain. The breakfast is service deluxe though you pay the price! We keep on talking about how wonderful the Plaza Athenee was- it was an expereince to remember- we would definitely stay there again.
