To visit the nearest city, San Pedro de Macorix (14 kilometers from Juan Dolio) you can use local transportation, gua-gua (bus), for. To arrive to the nearest bus stop you will take a moto-concho for a few pesos (a moto-taxi). For those who are a bit lazier there is a taxi or they can rent a car or a scooter.
Also other beaches (Guayacanes, Boca Chica etc) are accessible by local transportation. Gua-gua can also take you to the capital – The staff sure that you will have an unforgettable trip on the local transportation and maybe you will find yourself on the bus and in the company of an old lady traveling with a hen! |
