The residence found its place in this palace thanks to incredible work and retorations which made it possible to recuperate one of the most important monuments of Florence Renaissance.
Commissioned shortly after 1538 by Bishop Giovan Battista Ricasoli, the palace, opera of architect and humanitarian Cosimo Bartoli, became by the will of Cosimo de' Medici, the monastary of San Miniato al Ceppo, and was once again brought to life, although the ample gardens which once led to the walls of the city, were lost.
Given back to the Florentines, this prestigious work of art was put at the disposal of the citizens of Florence as a place to stay, for its position, only a short walk away from the most significant places where culture and entertainment, for which Florence is famous for, should satisfy the desire to discover and understand this city, one of its kind in the world, in its most authentic aspect.

We loved this hotel!! We had two rooms there..one with three singles for the kids and one with two for my wife and I. Both rooms were very good. The kids even had cooking facilities. It is a little hard to find since it looks like a residence and you have to g...
