Good value hotel

The hotel Polustrovo is a good hotel to stay in if you want to keep your budget tight. It's very clean and the staff is very friendly. English is spoken by the staff and are very helpful. The rooms are of a good standard and clean. Room cleaned everyday, bathroom was new and warm through the stay and of a high standard. The hotel is in a populated area which makes the stay very different to city stays. The casino and market is 5 mins walk away and well worth a visit. Walking to the nevsky is good as a long walk around the river Neva is nice. I found the food was reasonable and plentiful. But remember it's Russian breakfast so don't expect western values but breakfast had a vast choice and hot or cold food was available. Overall the hotel was well worth the price I paid and would stay there again. Rooms were warm and although I had a single bed twin it was quite comfortable. TV in every room. You're aprox 6km from the Moscow station but a taxi can be varied in prices around 600 rr some are cheaper but that depends on the time of day and you are able to ask for a price at reception but that changes so beware of them. Taxi drivers also beware of the pickpockets around but overall the hotel was well worth staying in as a visitor or on business. I found using otel.com was very good and I had no problems with the booking. Everything went so smooth and I would use otel.com again without hesitation.
