one of the best and most popular but calm hotels on Madeira

Very luxurious and spacious hotel near the Lido, not directly at the sea but with beautiful ocean views. Very good restaurants, even the buffet is every day of the week a different theme and very good quality. Staff is the best in Madeira. Always helping out and very professional and friendly. Madeira people are almost always very friendly. Beautiful island to explore by car, nature is magnificent as is the deep blue ocean with whales dolphins, turtles etc... Very clear unpolluted air and waters. The hotel consists of three hotels, Eden MAr are mostly studios and suites but too much concrete, Porto mare is in the middle and green garden with real botanically interesting flowers and trees. Big swimming pool, the third hotel is Porto Mare residence which are equipped with small kitchen so more apartment style in the same garden and building as the other two hotels. Rooms very spacious and country style with a lot of teak furniture and big balconies. Member of the Porto BAy hotels, very high service standards. ALso big spa centre, I believe four restaurants, a nice pool bar mini golf parking etc... The best choice in Madeira, close to the centre, has its own hotel shuttle but still the feeling of being in a very quiet park. Hotel is mostly fully booked by middle aged people but never gives the feeling it is overcrowded, even on the contrary....
