Principe Hotel, Palazzo 'Calbo-Crotta', a gothic building dating back to the 15th century is one of the first palaces on the Canal Grande after the Ponte degli Scalzi. The palace now accommodates the Hotel Principe.
Without a doubt, this is one of the finest Gothic buildings to be found on the Grand Canal and is now the home of the Principe Hotel. Inside this palazzo everything has been tastefully refurbished whilst retaining the original features.
LOCATION
Principe Hotel is located at the beginning of Canal Grande and close to S. Lucia rail station, with easy access to historic centre.
It is situated on the Grand Canal and from its convenient situation, the Ponte di Rialto and the Piazza San Marco are a relaxing walk away or a short trip on a vaparetto.
PROPERTY AMENITIES
* The hotel serves a buffet breakfast each morning.
* Principe Ristorante:
Italian specialties are served in a handsome room with silk-upholstered chairs, yellow-marble floor, and Murano-glass chandeliers. A wall of windows faces the waterfront terrace, where guests can dine in summer. The Principe Ristorante serves breakfast and dinner.
* The property features a piano bar open from 7.30 pm. until 11 p.m. and an elegant meeting room, facing the Grand Canal, ideal for gatherings and conferences.

* This hotel has 144 air-conditioned rooms with views of the Grand Canal or the Lista di Spagna pedestrian thoroughfare. Rooms are individually decorated, with high ceilings and carpeting. Short trip to Venice
The hotel room was very quiet, reserved but friendly staff. Breakfast in order. The only criticism is that air conditioning was not switched off (had to cut the fuse).
