Nice enough hotel, quite old fashioned, but staff very friendly and helpful, restaurant in the hotel, and also lounge service available! Not REALLY walking distance from the city centre, at least 45minutes walking! And New Street Station is in the city centre, so from the airport to get the train to New Street Station, you would then be better off getting a taxi this distance, which is only a few £'s. Nice restaurants and pub just down the road from the hotel, but TGI's is closed for renovations :)
