Excellent budget hotel
Quality Sainte Catharine Hotel is a lovely medium-range hotel to use as a base to explore the city. We have booked this one in particular, due to its location, reasonable price and nice reviews. And later on we were very happy with our random choice.
The location is great indeed - right in the middle of the city only 2 minutes from the riverfront and right in the middle of the shopping/eating district. There are taxies available at a reasonable price, alternatively buses and trams pass by the Grand Theatre which is a short walk from the hotel. The room was a standard French bedroom, not luxurious, but very clean, basic and comfortable. And the staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, Quality Sainte Catharine Hotel was a very clean basic hotel with friendly staff and perfectly located. |

The best accolade I could give - I've stayed twice, and probably will do again when I visit Bordeaux. I loved the location - on the edge of the historic old town with it's fabulous selection of restaurants, in beautiful old places (squares) which come to life at night. But also such a short walk to the elegant and bountiful shops and boutiques! Rooms were small but adequate - ask for one looking into the street below with their flowery balconies - very French! Average but typical continental breakfast. But above all, the staff were really friendly and helpful. |

Stayed at this basic, no frill hotel recently. Very good value for money. Good location, clean and tidy. Taxi takes you right to the hotel located in the pedestrian zone or 10 minutes walk from the Jet Bus stop. Staff speaks limited English but very friendly and helpful.
Standard rooms are small. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. No hesitation to recommend this hotel. Any one going to Bordeaux should also consider the Bordeaux Discovery package offered by the Office de Tourisme de Bordeaux. |
