Our 2 bedroom suite had an excellent view of the ocean and the city. The rooms were spacious, well decorated, clean. The AC worked well on the hot day that we arrived. Concierge service was efficient as was reception service. I appreciated that we got prompt email confirmation of the rooms and car service.
The breakfast was included in our room and was an excellent full meal.

Extremely close to the central station, across the road from the Hard Rock Cafe and Tivoli Gardens, this hotel is superbly located. On our arrival, we were upgraded to a room on the executive floor; which afforded us uninterrupted views across the city and (apparently) an upgraded room. The Arne Jacobsen designed rooms are beautiful, though there is a touch of the 60s/70s about them. While not exactly homely, the rooms are far from sterile. There's a personality which is entirely inkeeping with that of the city of Copenhagen.
Staff at the hotel were helpful, polite and attentive, with almost depressingly good English. We didn't get a chance to try the top floor restaurant, as it was fully booked for the weekend. If you want to eat there, you'd be well advised to book in advance of your stay. It's said to be amongst the best restaurants in Copenhagen, and it certainly has the best view - a panoramic vista over a friendly and, in its own way, extremely charming city. I'd certainly recommend this hotel, particularly if you're only staying for a short time - its location is perfect for anyone who arrives on the modern and pretty efficient trains into the nearby station, and it's only a minute's walk to Tivoli Gardens, or a couple more minutes to the excellent shopping street, Stroget.

The Royal is tough to miss.. it's the tallest hotel in the center of Copenhagen, and about a block from the central train station. Danish designer Arne Jacobsen did in 1956 what Starck and Schrager are doing now. Although I'd hesitate to call the Royal SAS a "boutique" hotel - it's full service in every respect, and the staff is very courteous.
(This in contrast to, for example, the Paramount or the Hudson in NYC, where style exists at the cost of functionality and hospitality.) The 'club' rooms have sweeping views and gorgeous interior details, and the feather beds are extremely comfortable. Highly recommended for business or pleasure.

This IS a hotel with style - bags of it. It overwhelms you from the moment you step in the cavernous foyer. Standard rooms are a bit small but the views make up for this. And the cocktail bar really hums towards the weekend. Sadly my itinerary meant that I didnt have time to have a meal in the hotel. A marvellous hotel - go for it !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel was very stylish, the rooms were clean, spacious, and we had a great view over the Tivoli gardens. The hotel has a very good bar, a little on the pricey side but no real difference with the rest of Copenhagen. The Hard Rock Cafe is opposite the hotel, and the 'city centre' is about 5-10 minutes walk away. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, a great hotel all round.
