The Radisson SAS Hotel, Bodo is in the centre of the city close to the busy and popular shopping area and most of the city sights. Bodo is the second largest city in northern Norway and is north of the Arctic Circle. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful with high mountains and a spectacular coastline.
Saulstraumen, the strongest maelstrom in the world is 33 kilometres from the city centre and is one of the best places for sport fishing in Norway. The clean oxygen rich water is home to a variety of species of fish, plants and other sea creatures.
Kjerringøy, an old trading centre is just north of Kjerringøy and used to be one of the wealthiest trading centres of Norway in the last century. The Norwegian Aviation Centre in Bodø is a delight for both children and adult.
Bodø is a modern city with lively shopping and a popular marina. Mount Rønvik overlooks the city and from here, on a clear day, you can see a dramatic landscape, with splendid views of the town and the surrounding islets and skerries. |
