Perfect for business as well as leisure travelers
When considering Radisson Sas hotels, you always think of a business type hotel. Radisson Sas Plaza Hotel was no exception. It basically caters business travelers, so as tourists we were concerned that we would be squeezed in between, but nevertheless we received a great and warm attention from the staff who always helped us with advises and directions. We were very delighted with the our room, it was light and airy and average European size, floors were wooden of Scandinavian style and the bathroom was small but adequate, however overall clean, modern and very cozy. We weren’t disappointed in other facilities of the hotel as well. The breakfast area was well-presented and a wide variety of American, continental, Scandinavian types of breakfast were on offer that certainly would please even a fussy eater. A complimentary wifi was a bonus. Yet, the main advantage of the Raddission Sas Plaza hotel is location - it’s just off the back of the railway station on a quiet side street that is perfect for sightseeing, restaurants, shops. Overall, until this point Radission Sas Plaza hotel would be my favorite hotel in Helsinki, is far reasonably priced with all the basic luxury and modernity within close proximity to the sightseeing areas. Definitely recommended.

Top score for design and service
We stayed there in August 2006 and appreciated the really Scandinavian atmosphere (birch wood furniture, blue-green colours). Check-in/check-out went on smoothly; service attitude was honest and full of competence. The huge and tasty Finnish Breakfast (with a wide selection of Nordic bread specialties, several kinds of berries etc.) almost saves you lunch. Great location. Just a few steps to busses to the airport or even to St. Petersburg, 1 min. to metro and railway station (and all the shopping delights of HandyMekka Helsinki !). Experience how the Finns celebrate their (short) lively summer. Step out from your hotel in August and you feel like walking over a Mediterranean Plaza, with French drinks, Spanish (or Greek, or Mexican) food or even Caribic music.

Perfect location
Location is quiet, yet perfect for everything you plan to do in Helsinki, 1 min to railway station/airport bus, 5 min. to Stockmann department store, 5 min to historical center or South Harbour. We had 28 Celsius in August 06 in Helsinki and appreciated A/C in our well designed Scandinavian Room. No soap bars just liquids for body and hair. Finns like Aamusauna (in the morning). I tried it for free and it was really refreshing. Service is honest and efficient, without too much show effects. BF is rich and best Finnish/International quality, you'll love it and it is included in the room price.

This is a great hotel; it really has it all. A great central location, near the train station and National Theatre. Rooms are large with various themes. Ours was 'Scandinavian', with birch wood furniture, wooden flooring and lots of glass. Bathroom had a bath and shower. The breakfasts are huge, with a choice of whatever you can imagine! The hotel staff were all friendly and polite, and couldn't do enough to help. All this plus a free sauna!
