Good location, also to visit the old town area!

One could easily get the wrong impression reading some reviews: the hotel may indeed not be located in the (historical) centre of the city, but has nevertheless a very good location if you are visiting Antwerp on leisure/business and want to see the old town area. A tram-stop is very nearby. From there tram 2 or 6 – you can choose - takes you to the city centre within 10 minutes - it’s an interesting ride too. Departures are very frequent. A ticket costs just € 1.20. No taxi needed at all! Breakfast buffet served was a great joy: the food quality is very good, the selection is fresh and plentiful. A small drawback for some – like my wife - good be the lack of fresh juice. The room was spacious (size above average) and comfortable. The hotel has a sauna and infra-red cabin – both of which we also visited – and a fitness room. Near the hotel is an Olympic swimming pool. We stayed for a couple of days at the turn of the year 2010-2011. Our experience with this hotel and friendly and helpful staff is very satisfying. Conclusion: very recommended and “we’ll be back”!

Have stayed at the Corinthia on business several times now;- it's definitely one of my top ten hotels. Its a large modern building on the outskirts of Antwerp, though very easy to find from the main road. Rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, always spotlessly clean. I always appreciate the complementary glass of champagne on arrival - a nice, imaginative welcome. The restaurant is very good too, well above normal hotel standards, though they can become over-stretched if a large group unexpectedly arrives. My only real complaint if I had one is that parking spaces are limited in the underground car park and that they don't yet accept AMEX.
