The 5 Star colonial style hotel combines both a traditional and contemporary approach. At first the building was the Episcopal Palace of the Bishop-Virrey Don Juan de Ortega y Montanez but in 1705 it was donated to the Order of Friars Juaninos. The hotel was converted into a hotel in the late 1800s.

Hotel Real Madero is located in the downtown of Morelia, in one of the most important avenues and only four blocks from the cathedral, close to several monuments and important tourist attractions such as the Candy Museum, and the City Streetcar station that can take you all over the city.
