Great hotel with some minors
Real Palacio Hotel was everything we expected in according to its price range. We have stayed for 4 nights and found Real Palacio Hotel actually an average hotel but yet with superb location and top-notch service. The staff was all attentive and always responsive to any request. We were allocated to a double room with separate beds, when we asked for a room change, we were unfortunate since there were no available, and so our beds were pushed together. Yet, overall the room was spacious enough to feel relaxed and comfortable, the bathroom was adequate as well with a bright lighting and with both shower and bath tab.
We got to visit gym and "spa"-area twice and we were positively surprised. Yacuzzi, steam bath and sauna were of good quality and seemed clean.
The breakfast was ample, but the ambience itself was not something to write home about as it was located below the ground floor.
Real Palacio Hotel is located just by the big shopping complex Corte Ingles and Subway station that provide with an easy access to the old downtown area (Baixa) in 10 min and the Calouste Gulbenkian museum is within walking distance.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Real Palacio Hotel, not considering pushed together beds, moreover it was lacking in overall ambiance. Other than that, we would definitely come back here again.
