The bar at end of the lobby has a modernist stained glass window and still has the original 1913 cash register behind the counter, though nowadays it sits next to a computer. A TV sits in the corner and a large cubist style mural depicts the city. Serves drinks and light snacks all day.
* The roof terrace is open during the summer months and features a bar, swimming pool, and solarium.

We were upgraded to this hotel by the tourist information office in Barcelona. Although a 20 min walk or so down to La Ramblas, the area around the hotel is far more spacious, less noisy and less crowded. The hotel service was excellent. Room perfect, and maid...

I agree - this is not a four star hotel. It hax a wonderful location naer most of Barcelona's major Antonio Gaudi buildings. We had read about the small rooms so we called and made sure we were not put in the back of the hotel.
