The Renaissance Brussels is a superb hotel, completely renovated. A few minutes walk to the Royal palace and shops. Great breakfast, what a selection!!!! and friendly staff. The fitness is the biggest I've ever seen in a hotel, with a pool, sauna, and large workout area. The concierge (Ben?) best in town. Yes, I'll be back and oh great rates.

Although we (my wife and I) thought the hotel very good, was extremely surprised to find how quiet Brussels is....Even for the first weekend in the New Year. We travelled on the Friday via First Class Eurostar and the taxi to the hotel proved to be simple enough. The room was nice, with a queen-size bed and all the usual facilities. The pay channels on the TV proved somewhat interesting as my wife pressed a few buttons and hey presto 13euros lighter for pure sex! Still what the hell, you only paid the once for all-day entertainment. We found a nice restaurant very close in situ called Le Sel et Poivre, but for some reason this is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Is this a Belgium thing? Got hopelessly lost on the Brussels Metro the following day, but had a laugh anyway, especially when we discovered that everywhere is only about 20 minutes walk anyway. Enjoyed the Sablon area and Avenue Louisa and found the Fisherman's alley quite by accident..Great weekend, including the train, but next time I will hit Lille as I found Belgium a tad too dull for my liking...

We recently stayed at the Renaissance and couldn't be more pleased with our choice for this hotel. We recommend this hotel to everyone who'd like to go to Brussels. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. Dinner and breakfast buffet were superb. Our room was beautifully decorated. We'll definitely return to this hotel!

Stayed at the Renaissance for a weekend in August 2003. Parts of their restaurant currently under renovation/refurbishment, therefore breakfast took place in a conference room (work should be finished in a few days).
Located close to the E.U. in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood. 10 minute walk to Avenue Louise. Multiple bus lines right in front of the hotel take you in 10 minutes to Grand Place.
We had a junior suite on the 6th floor. Room was in very good condition.
Good overall quality of food and drinks (remember, you're eating in a hotel, not in a gourmet restaurant). Reasonably priced.
Staff was very helpful. Minor issues (e.g. missing bathrobe) were resolved immediately.
If chain hotels are o.k. for you, I can recommend the Renaissance Brussels.

Have recently stayed at this hotel for four nights and was disapointed. The location near the European Parliament is good, and the health club and pool were a bonus, but this hotel was let down by poor service.
