Dombås Hotel is set in lovely surroundings in the centre of Dombås, which is at the junction of the E6 and E136 motorways, right in the middle of southern Norway.
Dombås Hotel is an obvious place for a stop-off between Oslo and Trondheim (heading north) and between Oslo and the towns in the Møre region (heading west towards Romsdal and south towards Gudbrandsdal). It offers some excellently marked ski runs in the Dovre mountains, both in summer and winter, along with many other activities. |

But first and foremost maybe it`s the large trout that has your attention? Gudbrandsdalslågen river is a desired river for people all over Europa, but don`t worry, Lågen has unforseen possibilities to make that big catch. If you rather prefer the high mountain rivers, there are rivers following the E-6 from Dovrefjell to Oppdal, thats about 100 km of fishing. And on the way you`ll find several lakes that you can fish in, especially recommended is Hjerkinndammen, here you may also find a boat that is marked "Fjellstyret".
* View Dovrefjell by Horse:
In cooperation with Hjerkinn Fjellridning, you can enjoy Dovrefjell from the horses back. Hjerkinn fjellridning offers several packages. They have trips for both novices and experienced riders. You have to be at least 12 years old, but children from 10-12 that has a riding course or similar, exceptions will be made. The trips take place in the mountain plateau, you will climb tops that will give you a great view of Rondane and Dovrefjell. Crossing rivers and follow nice trails through the birch forrest. The speed depends on the terrain and length of that days stage, but you will have a chance to try both trot and gallop. |

* Just 20 meter from front desk you will find the motel department. It has a total of 23 motel rooms with 2-4 beds. The motel is divided into three houses with 5 rooms in each. Every room have a bath with shower and toilet. |
