Quiant grand hotel but functionally basic
We stopped at Richemond Hotel for two nights while on our Europe trip. As for the fist impression, Richemond hotel is rather a quaint grand hotel that I found it to be very charming actually as it was very well preserved. With a family running the hotel, we definitely got a very nice and friendly service, never faced any issues with the staff. The same way as the hotel, our room was looking dated, but clean and adequate enough. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, the best part was th breakfast room that has 3 very large picture windows which afford a breathtaking view of the mountains with the morning sun shining on the peaks. Fabulous! The only critique about Richemond hotel is that since the establishment itself is quiet dated, perhaps some may find it to be not convenient, in terms of very dated but functional shower and stuff, but still Rchemond possess some special quaint charm, and besides it has a good parking lot, to be taken into consideration for travelers by cars.
All in all, we had a nice time at Richemond Hotel and appreciated the quaint grand atmosphere that actually made appreciate the modern comfort of our days.

A Brilliant Hotel
We used this hotel for a long weekend skiing. It is flexible with dates. Run by several generations of a French family, the staff were extremely friendly and spoke good English. For a budget hotel the service was excellent. The hotel is quite big but very French/Old/Quaint with high beds and beautiful furniture in the rooms. It was warm and welcoming and the breakfast was very good. Thoroughly recommend also for the central location in the town. Walk to the Brevent chair lifts and there is a bus stop right out the back of the hotel which takes you to all the other ski areas in Chamonix. |
