Food up and Down
We have stayed at the Rocpool many times normally in the most expensive room which has hot tub and sauna on the patio. The staff and service is generally very good. However I also attend the restaurant regularly for business lunches. I am well know to the staff and so it is with regret that I have to find fault. The food however lacks consistency, one day it is excellent and the next it is not. My guess is that this relates to which chef is on duty. I dine in expensive eateries day in day out and for now unfortunately I have stopped taking guests to the Rocpool for dinner or lunch. I would ask the proprietor to consider why the dining room is more often than not half full if that.. Whilst other equally as expensive locations in the city are near full even on early weekdays. My favourite eatery is the marcliffe in Aberdeen, my suggestion would be that food guidance be taken from there. If contacted We would be happy to return once consideration has been given to the food service.
