Royal Garden Hotel opened in 1965 and was an official hotel for the FIFA World Cup. More recently, the property hosted the Cricket World Cup (1999) and the ICC Champions Trophy (2004). From Sir Bobby Charlton to current day soccer stars, from leading Japanese sumo wrestlers to cricketer Steve Waugh, The Royal Garden remains the international sportsperson’s London hotel of choice.
From 1994 to 1996, the hotel was completely renovated, assuring its status as a major five-star for the capital. It also became the first in London to offer high-speed Internet access in every guest room. Today, the hotel remains privately owned, with two sister properties in Singapore – The Goodwood Park Hotel and York Hotel. |

* The Tenth Restaurant:
Norman Farquharson’s gastronomic cooking at The Tenth Restaurant is matched only by the view - across Kensington Palace Gardens and Hyde Park towards the capital's tallest landmarks. Tables are well-spaced, occupying a fresh, contemporary space, and the atmosphere intimate, overseen by Restaurant Manager, Philip Osenton. Menus are Modern European with eclectic accents. It is a constant celebration of flavours, including a smattering of Asian imports. Classic French cooking techniques are employed, and there is a respectful reliance on what is fresh and seasonal.
* Park Terrace Restaurant:
The Park Terrace Restaurant is located at lobby level, adjacent to Kensington Palace Gardens and Hyde Park. Open from 6.30am to 10.30pm daily, this is the beating heart of the hotel, catering to all tastes at all times of the day. Menus are overseen by Executive Chef, Steve Munkley. The Park Terrace Restaurant breakfast offers the full gamut from a classic Full English to American waffles to Chinese congee. There is a buffet for selection of cold items and a wide selection of high quality English leaf teas.
* The Tenth Bar:
The Tenth Bar, overseen by Philip Osenton, is one of those addresses Londoners like to keep to themselves – a private haven with one of the best views in the capital. Many come here for a pick-me-up after shopping; others, for a drink before a meal at the adjacent Tenth Restaurant. It's a great place to meet prior to a concert at The Royal Albert Hall, and is fashionable spot for locals. It is also a sky-high bar with a sense of occasion.
* Park Terrace Cafe and Bar:
The Park Terrace Cafe and Bar are both located adjacent to the Park Terrace Restaurant, and share the latter's relaxed, informal style. They are popular meeting spots throughout the day. At the Cafe, afternoon tea is a highlight, with views of the Park. From the comfort of your armchair, enjoy silver platters of sandwiches, scones and pastries, and classic English leaf teas.
* Bertie’s Bar:

I could not have been more pleased. My room was a tad larger than a U.S. mid-grade hotel, which is large by Eurpoean standards. The bathroom was a bit small, but that is always the case. The staff were superb in every way. I felt as if I was truly taken care o...

The trip to London was great and the hotel staff were very efficient and helpful at the Royal Garden Hotel. They were able to get tickets for shows, tell us how to use the bus system and everything worked out perfectly.
