As a result; the city has been a jealously guarded centre of world trade since the Byzantine era; and protected by water on three sides; with the natural harbour of the Golden Horn nestled within the city.

* The large restaurant looks down onto the bar and lobby area. Restaurant serves local and international cuisine.
* The medium sized lobby is attractively decorated with the dark wood reception to the right and the bar area to the left. There is plenty of seating available in a relaxing atmosphere.

* Decoration is of a good standard and mainly in darker base colours. Bathrooms are also well equipped and pleasantly decorated. A new wing has recently opened to the rear of the hotel with excellent quality bedrooms and bathrooms.
