This Neo-Gothic brick-and-stone hotel, opened in 1931, is still owned by the Calvary Baptist Church, which occupies the building’s first five floors. Church operations are entirely separate, although it’s not uncommon to hear snatches of the church choir at practice from the hotel’s lobby. |
