Pleasant surprise-a real sleeper
I have stayed twice, once with adults on March, once with adult daughter December. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Good location-quiet but close to interesting sights. Helpful staff. I am planning autumn trip and will stay there again. |

We checked in here after having terrible luck with accommodations in Spain and though it was more expensive than we wanted (they only had a suite available), we were too exhausted to care. Initially our attraction was the rooftop swimming pool but the weather turned ugly soon after arriving and so we were then grateful that our room was so pretty and comfortable that we didn't mind. Also included was a full breakfast which was terrific. |

The Hotel San Gil was wonderful. It is absolutely beautiful and in a nice and quiet location - yet everything is within walking distance. I was there for five days and only took four cab rides - two of which were to and from the airport! Our room was spotless and right on the courtyard where there were olive trees and orange trees. The free breakfast was quite extensive and hearty. Be sure to admire the exquisite tilework throughout the lobby - it is stunning. Without a doubt, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and one of the cheapest. |

What you see on the various web sites where the San Gil is advertised is exactly what you get: an excellent hotel. Rooms are spacious and well furnished, and the air con worked very well in August heat! The staff are helpful if not over friendly. The breaksfast is wonderfull, and included in the room price. Limitations: location is not great, but is very quiet and only 6 Euro cab ride to Giralda. |

Overall a good hotel. Nothing special but the entrance, the building and the courtyard were exceptional. The rooms are not great and I expected a little more luxury from a 4-star hotel. The breakfast could also be improved.
Location is good. It is far better not to be right where the main attractions since it would be much noisier. San Gil is in a quiet area and it is very easy to walk to all the sites anyway. |

I recently returned from a trip to several cities in Spain, including Seville. The Hotel San Gil is fantastic! The service at the hotel was friendly and warm, and the public spaces were beautifully decorated. My junior suite included a large set of rooms with kitchenette that faced the lovely interior garden and terrace. My brother stayed at the hotel at the same time, and his "double" room had a huge terrace that was at least the size of the room! The price included a very generous buffet breakfast, and is a great value. The hotel is not located in the center of the city but a short taxi ride will easily bring visitors to all the important sites. I personally loved the residential neighborhood in which the hotel is located, which has many excellent tapas bars and restaurants as well as historic churches. The Hotel San Gil has become one of my favorite hotels, and I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Seville! |

Hotel San Gil was all I expected it to be. We read several reviews before our trip and realized that it would be off the beaten track. However, the hotel itself was great. The rooms were very large, with large beautiful bathrooms. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Even though the hotel is not in the main part of Sevilla, the taxis are very reasonable which made getting around town just fine. The bus system is easy to use as well. |
