Sanderson Hotel's unique design, makes it one of the most contemporary hotels in London. Its excellent location makes it an ideal base for eating out, shopping, nightlife and all that that Soho has to offer.
Entrepreneur Ian Schrager and internationally famed designer Philippe Starck transformed the interior of the 1950s Sanderson building in 2002. Salvador Dali’s crimson “lip” sofa, illuminated white-silk drapery, and ambient video images set the tone in the bright, white lobby. The lobby leads past the baroque Purple Bar to the Long Bar, where chic guests, most dressed in black, mingle with media types. |

* Spoon:
The mix-and-match menu accommodates special diets, and all foods are prepared with flavor and flair. Menu highlights include Pan-Seared Tuna, Roast Pigeon and Thai Rice, and, for a bit of indulgence, cheesecake and doughnuts. Outdoor dining is available when weather permits.
* Purple Bar:
Cocktails and 150 types of vodka are served in a decadent setting of purple and lavender. Furnishings include purple Queen Anne chairs, African barstools, illuminated Venetian etched-glass tables, and a bar fashioned of black stone. Violet-silk opera drapes cover the walls and ceiling.
* Lobby Long Bar:
An 80-foot-long onyx bar is the focal point of this wittily stylish room. Starck-designed barstools have silver-leaf frames; the backs feature an inset image of a woman’s eye by photographer Ramak Fazel. The bar menu includes tapas, caviar, oysters, and Asian seafood. The specially designed cocktails and martinis incorporate fresh, tangy fruit flavors.
* A hedonist’s delight, the 10,000 square-foot Agua Bathhouse provides pampering, spiritual relief, and tranquility to all who enter. A dazzling array of rejuvenating treatments combining the best of ancient and modern techniques are offered. With its miles of diaphanous white curtains, 14 all-white treatment rooms, chill-out zone and meditation beds, the Bathhouse has a peaceful, dreamy and almost cloud-like ambiance.
* The 24-hour Gymnasium is equipped with ultra-modern workout apparatus and offers personal trainers and indoor/ outdoor yoga and fitness sessions.
* Sanderson features multi-service meeting spaces and hospitality suites, an Executive Boardroom, state-of-the-art audiovisual and telecommunications equipment, production, wardrobe, makeup and casting rooms, as well as a private conference facility. Plasma monitors for audio-visual playback, smart boards, electronic flip charts, portable computers, mobile phones and fax machines available upon request. Multilingual secretarial staffing is available 24-hours on request. |

* In the world of hotel guestrooms, Sanderson’s are truly unique and groundbreaking. Designed without interior walls, the bathroom and dressing room are instead encased in a glowing floor-to-ceiling glass box that is wrapped in layers of sheer curtains.
* Wildly romantic, sensual and dreamlike, the 150 guestrooms, some with private gardens, feature silver-leafed sleigh beds, a rug inspired by Voltaire’s handwriting and oil paintings of soothing landscape scenes that are hung, unexpectedly, on the ceiling.
* All rooms have DVD players and wide-screen TVs within green-glass boxes. Guests have access to a DVD library of 1,500 titles. Some rooms offer panoramic London views; others overlook the courtyard garden. Glass-walled bathrooms can be revealed or concealed by swaths of drapes with the touch of a button. |
