Convenient location!
Me and my wife stayed at Sandman Hotel Downtown Calgary for 2 nights on 25th-26th April. It was a comfortable stay. The hotel was conveniently located just a few steps away from Light Rail Transit (LRT). Major attractions such as The Calgary Tower, Stampede Grounds etc. were within easy reach. The room we booked was a double room, comfortable and bright with adequate facilities. We enjoyed delicious meals at the hotel restaurant "Moxie’s Classic Grill". The hotel bar located on the 1st floor was a good place for relaxation. For fitness freaks, like my wife, the hotel has a well equipped fitness center. Sandman Hotel Downtown Calgary is a convenient place to stay. Hotel has very limited parking facilities so keep in mind if you're planing to go there by car.

if only for a perfect location
Sandman Hotel Downtown Calgary is really located in the city centre thus making it so much convenient to browse around, and that’s the main advantage of the hotel. The hotel itself does not give any nice impression, quite dilapidated, definitely need a refresh. However check-in service was very warm, friendly and helpful. First we were given a very tiny room with a weird smell inside, so we had to ask for change. Then we were given another room that was much better, but still not luxury, yet adequate. However there was a nice in house restaurant that served a nice food at a moderate rate. Overall, our experience at Sadman Hotel Downtown was mediocre, however we were very much happy with an excellent position of the hotel and a good deal we received.
